Seat design

Enjoy Comfort front seats as standard on Comfortline models and Sports front seats offering added support on the Highline model. All models include manual height, while Comfortline and Highline models have lumbar adjustment for front seats, with electric adjustment available for driver’s seat in combination with Vienna leather appointed upholstery.

All models feature split folding rear seat backrest (60:40) with rear seat remote release from the luggage area for easy access. Rear seat passengers in Comfortline and Highline models also enjoy a rear seat centre armrest with load through provision.

Alloy wheels

Standard on 118TSI and 103TDI Comfortline models, enjoy elegant 5-spoke 16” Navarra allow wheels. Optional for the 118TSI and 103TDI Comfortline as part of the Sport Package, added impact comes from the 17” Porto allow wheel. Standard for the 147TSI Highline enjoy the impressive multi-spoke 17” Queensland alloy wheel. Specify the optional Sport Package on the 147TSI Highline and select your 17” Queensland alloy in a Black and Polished finish.

Decorative inserts

On 118TSI enjoy stylish ‘Matte Chrome’ inserts in dashboard and doors. Comfortline models benefit from ‘Black Pyramid’ inserts while the 147TSI Highline adds elegant ‘Iridium’ dashboard and door inserts. All models benefit from Chrome trim on instrument cluster and gearshift surround while Comfortline and Highline models enjoy added Chrome trim on air vent surrounds and rotary light switch.

Electric Glass Sunroof (Optional)

With integrated sunblind, the optional electrically adjustable slide and tilt sunroof floods the cabin with natural light, bringing the outside in and giving passengers a gentle taste of fresh air. Not available on 118TSI.

Leather Appointed Upholstery (Optional)

Nothing is more comfortable than a well-made leather appointed seat, and Comfortline owners can choose to upgrade to our high- quality Vienna leather appointed upholstery. It’s fitted as standard on the Highline, and the package includes individually heated front sports seats. The Vienna leather appointed upholstery package can be enhanced on both Comfortline and Highline models with an electrically adjustable driver’s seat.

Multi-function steering wheel

From the moment your hands grip the 3-spoke leather trimmed steering wheel, enjoy fingertip access to a range of information thanks to multifunction controls as standard. Control Bluetooth® connectivity, scroll through your phonebook and access audio and Multi-Function Display controls with the touch of a button. This makes comfort and amenity a matter of high priority, and it’s a priority that the Jetta addresses with a range of features that will ensure its driver and occupants arrive at their destination feeling refreshed and relaxed.

Multi-Function Display (MFD Plus)

The Jetta’s Multi-Function Display is a valuable information centre. It can be set to display a range of trip information including driving time, current and average fuel consumption, range, distance travelled, average speed, current speed, oil temperature and speed warnings. It can also be used to adjust settings for convenience (such as door locking and mirror adjustments), light and vision (such as the coming/leaving home function on Comfortline and Highline), as well as audio, telephone and (optional) navigation menus.

RNS510 Satellite Navigation System (Optional)

Optional for both Comfortline and Highline models, the advanced RNS510 Satellite Navigation system features a high resolution full colour touch screen display with 2D topographical and 3D (bird’s eye) map views. The system also features an innovative voice recognition control for navigation, telephone and radio functions, as well as integrated 30GB hard drive for storing music and navigation data.

Bluetooth® Phone Connectivity

Standard across all models, Bluetooth® phone connectivity is easily accessed from the audio and telephone functions mounted on the steering wheel. Browse through your phonebook and control functions through the Multi-Function Display (MFD) or operate via the optional touch screen audio unit and stream music direct from your phone via Bluetooth®.

Media Device Interface (MDI)

Standard across all models, the Media Device Interface is fitted in the glove compartment and comes supplied with a USB connection cable. An optional accessory for MDI is the addition of connection cables for iPod®, mini USB and auxiliary input.

RCD510 Touch Screen Audio System

Standard on 147TSI Highline the RCD510 audio unit features a 6.5-inch touch screen display unit, with MP3 compatible SD card slot and 6-disc CD changer mounted in the dash.

Your safety is as important to us as our cars’ quality and performance. That’s why our engineers and designers pack them with some of the most innovative safety systems.

Airbags

All models of Jetta feature six airbags (twin front, front side and full length curtain) as standard. Airbags com- bine with seatbelts to help reduce the risk of severe head and chest injuries in collisions. When inflated, airbags cushion the head and upper body, distributing the resulting loads over as large an area as possible.

Crumple zones       

The core Crumple zones of your Volkswagen are designed to protect the cabin and your passengers from the worst effects of an impact.

Fog lights and static corner lights

Giving you added visibility when you need it most, front fog lights with static cornering functionality come as standard on 147TSI Highline or as part of the optional Sport package for Comfortline models. Static cornering functionality operates at low speeds, illuminating individual lamps depending on the direction of travel and lighting the road ahead around corners.

Traction and braking control

Monitoring and assisting your progress when the road gets slippery or in an emergency situation, Jetta features the following active safety systems as standard across the range: Anti-Slip Regulation (ASR), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) and Electronic Stabilisation Program (ESP). And making sure you can stop as quickly as you start, Jetta also benefits from the following braking programs as standard across the range: Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-pressure Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist, which senses braking pressure and applies extra braking force if necessary.

Passive safety systems

Jetta features 3-point seatbelts for all passengers. Driver and passenger get visual and acoustic warnings should their seatbelts not be fastened while front seatbelts are height adjustable and fitted with pre-tensioners and belt force limiters.

Standard across the range, Jetta also features three rear height-adjustable head restraints and front safety-optimised head restraints. Designed to minimise whiplash impact for driver and passenger in an impact, the head restraint is designed to reduce the distance you head moves in an accident.

TDI diesel engine technology

The 103TDI Comfortline comes with the latest in turbocharged common rail diesel engine technology. Precise amounts of fuel are injected at an exceedingly high pressure to deliver impressive power and exceptional fuel economy. The exhaust gas recirculation feature and diesel particulate filter also help reduce your CO2 impact. All of which means a cleaner burning engine with impressive Volkswagen acceleration.

TSI petrol engine technology

With the latest in TSI technology, our petrol engines offer incredible acceleration and class leading fuel economy. From the efficient 118kW 1.4 litre TSI engine that features both a supercharger and turbocharger (twin-charged) to the impressive and smooth performance of the turbocharged 147kW 2.0 litre TSI, these Volkswagen petrol engines combine innovative technology, impressive power outputs and efficient fuel economy.

DDSG transmission (Optional)

Giving you the ease of an automatic and the sportiness of a manual, our innovative DSG transmissions use two clutches to cleverly pre-select your next gear, meaning faster, smoother gear changes. And don’t worry about rollbacks on a slope. With Hill Start Assist the car is held in place for 1.5 seconds after the foot brake is released on hills giving you time to move away safely.

6-speed DSG is standard on 103TDI Comfortline and 147TSI Highline.

7-speed DSG is standard on 118TSI Comfortline.

118TSI features a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, with 7-speed DSG available as an option.

Parking Distance Sensors with OPS (Optional)

Standard across Comfortline and Highline models, Jetta features front and rear park distance sensors with acoustic warning. The function includes Optical Parking System (OPS) integrated into the radio display to give visual as well as audible warnings of proximity to obstacles. When the parking sensor warning is activated, audio volume is automatically lowered.
